Tufted Titmouse: The tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) is a small songbird with a distinctive gray crest on its head. It has a plump body, with gray upper parts and whitish underparts. Both males and females look similar. These birds are commonly found in deciduous forests and woodlands, as well as urban areas with large trees. They feed on insects, seeds, and berries, often visiting bird feeders. Their vocal calls are described as a loud “peter-peter-peter” sound.
